What does a ‘typical event day’ for The Bar Boy look like?
Well for us, the day begins with the delivery and setup of the bar with an early arrival (to make sure your drinks are chilled to perfection.) Then, we’ll be ready and waiting to greet your guests with a cheeky little drink upon arrival, before taking good care of you and your guests throughout your entire event!
What kind of events can you help with?
Pretty much any event that deserves great service and friendly faces! Such as corporate events, business launch parties, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, or any other celebratory occasion you can think of! 🥳
Do we need to provide the drinks?
Yes, but we will help you consider and pick your drinks so that the bar menu is tailored to you. We can even arrange delivery or pick up (for a small fee) if you need, so simply let us know if you need a hand with this.
Can The Bar Boy help with our drink selections?
You bloody bet!! Maybe you prefer a nice pinot noir OR a particular brand of pale ale? Or, you might have particular beverage preferences for a particular guest. We’ll discuss your ‘beverage priorities’ during our ‘Shaker Sesh’ and help you choose specific drinks and quantities based on your preferences.
What happens if it looks like we are running low on drinks?
During our 'Shaker Sesh’ we’ll discuss quantities and have a chat about a ‘drinks buffer’ (for just in case). But if for whatever reason we are running low during the event, we’ll either let your guests go with their second choice or do a dash to the nearest bottle-o.
Does The Bar Boy tidy up OR do we need to sort this?
We take out the trash, literally! Throughout the event, we’ll collect used glassware, bottles, cans etc as we go! We’ll dispose of all recyclables, and we’ll even keep your 10c recyclables separate so that we can drop them off at a collection point and donate the proceeds to your chosen charity.
Do you provide the glassware?
Yep! To save you a few dollars, basic ‘bar glassware’ is included in all our Celebrations (for up to 100 guests). But if you do need to hire extra ‘table’ or ‘cocktail’ glassware we can certainly help you source that!
How long are you with us?
Admittedly, we are a little needy and will be with you for around 10 hours (including set up, service, and pack down). But our ‘official service time’ is 8 hours and is included in both of our packages.
Do we need to be there early to put our drinks on ice?
No way! We got this! Although it does involve some safe heavy lifting, we’ll bring our fridge with us, and rock up early, so that we can make sure your drinks are cool before your event kicks off! But we’ll also have some spare ice on hand (just in case).
Are we able to upgrade our service OR add on handy extras along the way?
You sure can! Given that we’ll already be with you for a good part of your day, you can upgrade or add on handy extras, up to 4 weeks before your event! To view our current services, extras, and pricing click HERE.
Do you need anything for set up?
All we’ll need is a little bit of space, power and access to water. But otherwise, The Bar Boy will bring everything else for your event!
Do you provide the ‘bits and bobs’ (e.g. ice, straws, water glasses etc)
We sure do! We’ll provide straws, napkins, water glasses, a water station, freshly dehydrated fruits, a good filter coffee (we’re a bit snobby) and tea station. And pretty much anything else you can possibly think of.
What happens if we break a few glasses after a few red cordials?
We are well aware that accidents do happen, especially whilst living your best event life. But so that we can keep providing great quality glassware for our patrons (and keep saving them some serious hire fees), your quote will include a small bond of $150. This covers any accidental breakages, and the remaining amount will be refunded after your event!
